You know that scene where the fire in the bar sets off the shells, and one ricochets into the zombie chick's head? I could use one of those right about now.
And it's not just the car. It's all kinds of things, all of which I'm a little too emotionally exhausted to even think about right now. I'd ask if it could be New Year's yet, but honestly, I don't think I can even handle thinking about that, at the moment. Once it gets here, I'll be fine for a bit, but really. I have to drive in the dark - possibly in the snow - to get there, I have to worry about what Al's going to do while I'm at work ... honestly, I'm exhausted.
I'm tired of feeling on edge from the moment I get up to the moment I go to bed.

You know those alleged holiday surprises that come out of nowhere, the nice ones?
What happened to those? I want one. Maybe if I stamp my foot like I used to, back when I was five. And it doesn't even have to be something spectacularly huge. Just .... nice, for once.

I can minorly help with a holiday surprise on that whole "What can Al do while you're at work" thing. Kathy will be on winter break. I'm sure she would love company as much as Al, so...
Al is more than welcome to hang out at our place or I could bring Kathy into Plymouth so the two of them can tool around town and find stuff to do together. This is, of course, completely subject to Kathy's approval, but... come on... who wouldn't want to hang out with Al? Seriously.
I just asked. Kathy says, "Egads! How could you even suggest such a thing?" Of course here by "Egads! How could I even suggest such a thing," I mean, "Oh hells yeah!"
I'm even completely open to working something out where if Al wants to come up here I can meet you in Campton on your way into work and drive Al up the hill while you keep going. We can make this happen. It can be done. :)

I just wanted to pop on real quick and let you know I care!
Al is more than welcome to hang out with us, we can watch movies, or build snow forts or... something. ^_^
Anyway, gotta' run, finals week makes me glad I'm not a sea cucumber!!
